Establishing Member Perks

At Table22 we are focused on helping partners tackle two key problems:

  1. Difficulty in connecting the at-home Table22 experience to the on-premise hospitality members receive when they come in to dine or shop.
  2. Increasing difficulty in filling seats at their restaurants or bringing high-value foot traffic to their shops.

Enter membership soft perks! We’re here to help you develop thoughtful soft perks for your members seamlessly enabled by our new Digital Membership Cards. Based on dozens of member interviews, the top thing members want is to feel like they’re part of a community… to feel “seen”. Some perks that are especially meaningful to members include:

  • Priority waitlist — allow members to jump towards the top of a walk-ins waitlist when they stop by without a reservation
  • Discounts at the retail shop — many partners offer 5-15% off at their retail location, providing extra incentive to pick up some more wine or goods at the Alimentari.
  • Priority reservations — either via the exclusive booking channel feature in Resy or a special concierge system we can help facilitate
  • Extended or Members-Only Happy Hour — on select nights, members get exclusive or extended happy hour specials
  • A cocktail or glass of wine from the bar / somm or amuse bouche from the kitchen
  • Waived or reduced corkage fees

Why Offer Member Perks?

1. Fill Seats & Drive Foot Traffic

Establishing special soft perks has helped partners draw members on-premise more frequently — helping fill more seats at their restaurant, drive more foot traffic to their retail shop, and increase average customer spend. Some partners have established perks or member programming on their slowest nights as a way to bolster traffic and revenue.

2. Member Retention

Table22 programs that offer meaningful on-premise perks have had dramatically better member retention, with 6 of our top 7 highest retaining active partners having an on-premise element to their programs. Taken collectively, partners with on-prem perks are typically retaining ~20% more of their members at any given point in a member’s lifecycle — that’s nearly 2 extra orders (~$200+) a year per member!

3. New Member Acquisition

On-premise promotion can be a powerful and low effort way to attract new members, whether that’s through Table22 collateral (signage, QR codes on menus, etc.) or from your staff telling guests about your club(s). Partners can gain anywhere from 33%-50% of their members from on-prem promotion.

Table22 Membership Cards

How It Works

When cards are enabled, members receive a link that invites them add a membership card to their Apple/Google wallet, similar to a mobile boarding pass.

The card lives in their digital wallet and is automatically updated as necessary, for example if their membership expires or they change tiers

When a member with the card in their wallet comes near your establishment, a customizable notification pops up on their phone

From there, members can show their membership card in order to redeem any special perks. You can scan QR codes with any tablet or phone, or just have the member flash the card on their phone.
