Packaging Guide

Your guests will take the first bite with their eyes — so we’re here to help you plan packaging that looks as delicious as your food and beverage taste! Your members are welcoming you into their homes — let’s make it unforgettable. Every detail helps create a night where they can unwind, pour a glass of wine, and savor the experience.

Watch our Packaging and Fulfillment Guide (~2 mins) for our recommendations:

Thoughtful packaging elevates the experience beyond typical takeout — and that extra care leads to happier members and stronger retention. We break packaging into five parts:

  • Exterior Carriers
  • Dish Containers
  • Dish Labels
  • Menu Cards
  • Optional Extras

Exterior Carriers

Order custom branded bags and stickers directly from our partners at Racetop Print for custom branded brands and stickers — shop our Table22 store here! Table22 partners receive 15% off every order with code Table22PARTNER, expedited shipping within 2 weeks, and support with creating a custom club logo.

  • Custom Kraft Paper Bags: Most partners opt for paper bags with handles and a touch of branding. If you don’t wish to order custom bags we recommend incorporating a logo sticker, or logo stamp. Sizes and prices vary — ensure you order the appropriate size based on your dish carriers!
  • Custom Reusable Grocery Totes: Some partners opt to gift their members a branded grocery tote for their first order! These allow your members to advertise for you every time they make a grocery store run. Sizes and prices vary — ensure you order the appropriate size based on your dish carriers!

T22 Tip: Do not smush, or crumple bags — and we recommend leaving tops open instead of stapling shut!

Dish Carriers

We recommend take-out containers that stack nicely and won't crush or leak during transport, while also provide a great unboxing experience:

T22 Tip: Avoid containers that don’t fully seal such as the folded takeout boxes!

Dish Labels

We recommend using sticker labels on individual dishes which help with both presentation and organization. Use custom labels for large dishes and numerical stickers for sauces or accoutrements that correspond to the course number.

T22 Tip: Opt for stickers instead of handwriting for a more polished look!

Menu Cards

The printed menu card is a key part of the experience. It doesn’t just share practical details — it helps build a personal connection with your guests.

Strengthen these connections with a short note, quickly describing the inspiration for each edition’s menu. Is it asparagus season? Is this your grandmother’s recipe? Are you celebrating a particular region? A peek into your thought process creates a narrative thread that contributes to a more immersive member experience.

A strong menu card should:

  • Include an introductory Chef’s Note to make the experience feel personal and intentional
  • Elevate the experience beyond takeout by carrying your restaurant’s personality into the home.
  • Clearly list dishes and simple reheating or assembly instructions to make the meal stress-free

T22 Tip: Include a QR code that links out to a Spotify playlist to help members set the vibe !

Optional Extras

Including small personal touches or branded extras can help make the experience feel extra memorable. Consider little extras such as:

  • A link to a recorded video or curated Spotify playist
  • A handwritten note welcoming members on their first month
  • An extra treat at member milestones (6 months, 12 months)
  • Merch such as branded matches or stickers
  • Early invitations to ticketed events, pop-up specials, or wine dinners
